Learning Goal: I’m working on a literature writing question and need a sample draft to help me learn.Papers should be between 900-1000 words long. They are academic in nature and should be structured to meet college-level writing expectations. That means, you should have a strong thesis, good topic sentences, well-formed paragraphs, etc. I would prefer that you did not use outside sources for these responses. I want to hear your response, not someone else’s. These will be turned in to Canvas before the class period they are due.These are NOT summaries of the text. These are responses. This is considered a close reading.Using the texts from this unit (Thoreau, Emerson, Whitman), analyze/compare how one of the texts exemplifies a Romantic/Transcendental characteristic. You need a claim, with a thesis. You do not need to use all the texts. You could just use one. This should be a close reading of the text(s). Use examples from the text(s) to support your claim. Just make it clear what you believe and that the text supports your reading.
