You must create an original menu. You may not use an established organizations menu, or Internet web sites as a starting point or reference. The organization you create must be a long-term care facility, acute care facility, prison or hospital. Your organization must serve at least 100 or more individuals. You may not plan a restaurant menu. You may not create a predominately Hispanic food menu, or a Texas based organization. create and name your organization, develop a seven-day menu cycle and a marketing plan. The second part is the marketing plan. First describe where your facility is located (city/state) in the United States. You may not select a Texas organization or have a primarily Hispanic menu. Provide current demographics of that area. You must site your reference using AMA format. Describe your client base you are creating the menu for in your organization; include age range, gender, religion, cultural preferences, and regional differences. Be specific in target market of your organization. Describe why you chose the calorie level you did. Next, develop an explicit client description marketing write up. Consider in this section you are writing this and using this to entice or allure clients to your organization and describe how meals in the organization are going to be provided (style of service ch. 9). Your write up should fully explain that the customer knows why they are coming to the facility, the type of meals you’ll provide by explaining the menu, and how they are provided to them.
