This is an internship academic report with a lot of freedom. You can choose your own research question and work with that preferably within the corporate finance field. Or something relating to Mergers & Acquisitions in Denmark. I have interned as an analyst in a company specializing in Mergers & Acquisitions in the SME segment. I have spoken with my supervisor and he says that the primary task is to write an academic paper with a relevant research question, not so much discussing the tasks. During your process of writing, you can always ask me questions that you want my supervisors to feedback on and I will be able to have an answer within a few hours. The following is the description from the school of what the project should include: The report should be between 25 and 30 standard pages. The report should describe, analyse and discuss the internship tasks and experiences, as well as any challenges faced and how these were dealt with. This discussion should be framed within relevant academic literature. The report should be structured as a conventional academic report, with a precise research question, literature review, methodology section and analysis where the theory is discussed in relation to the empirical data and student’s experiences, as well as correct academic referencing. The report should also include critical reflections on what the student has learned as a result of the internship, and how the company or organisation is placed in a broader societal context. The report as well must reflect on how the academic skills learned at the BSc in European Business were helpful in carrying out the internship tasks. The following is the learning objectives: Learning objectives To achieve the grade 12 (A), the student must demonstrate the ability to: Formulate a relevant research question that is empirically and theoretically relevant to the specific internship Collect and critically assess empirical data relevant to addressing the research question and the methods used to gather that data Select, justify and apply a theoretical framework that is relevant for addressing the chosen research question Analyze the tasks performed during the internship and critically discuss them in relation to relevant literature Present the research question, analysis and conclusions in a way that complies with academic conventions in regard to structure, referencing and language.
