You have been asked to evaluate a local substance abuse program that serves probationers. In a meeting with the director of the program you are asked the following questions: (a) How will you define recidivism? (b) How will you identify a comparison group? (c) How long of a follow-up period do you recommend? (d) Are there other outcome measures you would suggest including besides recidivism?
