The intervention is effectively deploying a telehealth practice as an intervention for a previously in-person at home practice First, using the Web of Science database (Links to an external site.) from the UK library, try to locate at least three credible professional journal articles directly relevant to the topic or intervention associated with your program evaluation design. All three journal articles must be on the same intervention or use the same instrument to assess the treatment’s effectiveness. Second, referring to Figure 14.1 on page 396 of your textbook, compare the three articles based on the standard components of a written evaluation report or published journal article in terms of the adequacy of the piece’s coverage of its: Introduction (e.g., What is the problem? Does it describe a problem of interest to clinicians or the field of social work practice Literature Review (e.g., Is there a context for the problem? A history? What do we know about it and what don’t we know about the problem?) Methodology (e.g., Are the procedures, selection of the participants, and the instrument(s) used described in enough detail you could replicate?) Results (e.g., Does the analysis seem clear? Are the findings reported convincing to you? The analytic procedures seem proper?) Discussion (e.g., Besides the reporting of significant findings, does this section discuss any limitations of the study?) References (e.g., Did the study provide a good number of current references in credible journals? Or too few references in less credible journals?) Third, eliminate two of the articles based on any issues of incompleteness, age of the study, or sense of wanting or needing to know more than what the author(s) provided. Fourth, take the article which “makes the cut” and address in a paragraph each of the six components (A through F above). For each component in your chosen article, describe its completeness or adequacy. What do you like and dislike about the way the author(s) handled each section? What do you feel you still would like to know? If the article you chose is an especially good one, you may wish to use this article as a guide to assist you in drafting parts of your program evaluation design. Your six paragraphs should run the neighborhood of about 300 words as a minimum–no more than 500. Fifth, attach a PDF of the article that you believe could be useful for you in drafting your program evaluation design and identify the two articles (by APA citations) that were on the same intervention but you didn’t find as useful. Sixth, send your critical analysis assignment and the PDF of the article you selected to the assignment link by the due date.
