You must choose a nursing action or intervention from that time period, you will then choose a current action or intervention that evolved from this previous action and how it impacts the nursing profession or patient outcomes. Timeline Options: 2010-Present Example: Timeline date: 1930-1949, Action/Intervention: diploma or hospital-based nursing education, Current action/intervention: BSN is becoming an entry-level degree. Timeline date: Before 1900, Action/Intervention: washing hands, Current actions: sterile procedures The presentation must include the nursing action/intervention from the assigned time period, why or how it impacted the profession or outcomes from that period, how it has evolved, what are current practices based off of this action or intervention, and how has the evolution of this practice improved outcomes.
